What You Need
 
3/4 lb. extra lean ground beef
1 medium  yellow onion, chopped
1 pkt. GOOD SEASONS Zesty Italian Dressing Mix
1 can  (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes
8 cups shredded cabbage (about 1 lb.)
1 cup  water
1 cup instant brown rice, uncooked
Make It
 

BROWN meat and onion with dressing packet in large skillet or Dutch oven on medium-high heat 4 to 6 minutes or until meat is cooked through.

ADD tomatoes and cabbage; stir. Reduce heat to simmer; cover tightly. Cook 20 to 25 minutes or until cabbage is tender.

STIR in water and rice; bring to boil. Cover; reduce heat and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir and cover. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

" This recipe was very tasty! It was super easy to make! And the best part...my husband really liked it - and he's not a fan of the traditional stuffed cabbage rolls! I tweaked it only by adding fresh chopped garlic (because I add that to just about everything) and substituted diced tomatoes for the crushed (it's what I had on hand and I like the chunks of tomato). I also added a cap full of Mrs. Dash Original Blend and some red pepper flakes to give it some extra flavor and a little kick. I'll never make stuffed cabbage rolls again now that I have this recipe! Thanks!!!"
