What You Need!

1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix
6 drops  each red and yellow food coloring
2 drops green food coloring
1 tub  (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
Assorted cookies and candies

Make It!

PREPARE cake batter and bake as directed on package for 1 (9-inch) round pan and 1 (9-inch) square pan. Cool completely.

LEAVE round cake whole; cut square cake as shown in diagram. Arrange cake pieces on cutting board, platter or tray as shown in photo.

STIR food colorings into COOL WHIP; spread onto cakes. Decorate with cookies and candies as shown in photo.

Substitute
Substitute yellow or chocolate cake mix for the white cake mix.
Tinting COOL WHIP
Adjust the color of the bear by adjusting the number of drops of food colorings used to tint the COOL WHIP. Use more color for a darker brown bear or use brown food coloring paste from the specialty cake store instead of the liquid food colorings. For a paler bear, use less coloring or leave white for a polar bear.
