Caramelized Onion Tart

What You Need
 
3 medium onions, thinly sliced (about 4 cups)
2 Tbsp.  oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp.  dried thyme leaves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 can  (13.8 oz.) refrigerated pizza crust
1/4 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided
1/2 cup  sliced pitted ripe olives
Make It
 

COOK and stir onions in hot oil in large skillet on medium heat 15 minutes or until golden brown. Add garlic, thyme and salt; cook and stir 2 minutes.

PREHEAT oven to 400°F. Unroll dough on greased baking sheet; press into 14x12-inch rectangle. Bake 5 minutes; sprinkle with half of the cheese

COVER with even layer of onions; top with olives. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake an additional 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

Make-Ahead
Onion mixture can be made a day in advance. Cool completely, then cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
Variation - Caramelized Onion Pizza
Substitute 1 pkg. (1 lb.) frozen pizza or bread dough, thawed, for the pizza crust. Do not prebake dough. Press into rectangle, then top with cheese, onions and olives as directed. Bake in preheated 425°F-oven for 25 minutes or until edges of crust are golden brown.

" This was an excellent recipe. I omitted the olives because my husband doesn't like them. It was also good reheated during the week. Next time i'll add more onions -- they were sooo good."
