I also used chicken breasts, and made a variation of the dumplings. I used the dry ingredients and added the suggested 2/3 c. (nonfat) milk for the quick version. Made it super simple and a lighter recipe. I did add vegetables (1/2 bag frozen stirfry mix, & 1/2 bag frozen mexicorn mix), just before adding the dumplings on top to let it simmer. It was delicious! Other than that, salt/pepper to taste.

I have made this recipe two times now. The first time I used the "quick & easy dumpling" shortcut and the second time I followed the directions for making the dumplings. We liked the 'longer' version better. It wasn't so pasty that way and the dumplings turned out better too. We also used chicken breasts instead of the thighs. Turned out very well, will make again and again.

This was good, but needed more veggies and came out a little soupy. Next time I'll add more veggies and make it thicker.

This worked out great! The italian dressing added a nice "zest" just like the name says. The dumplings worked out very well. I made this with chicken breasts cut up.

This was an exciting recipe for me to make as I have never made chicken and dumplings before. I am still sorta a newly wed and my husband loves my mothers recipe. I tried making this and he absolutely loved it. My best friend also thought it was great, and could eat just that with no sides!! :)

I used chicken broth rather than water, so the flavor was good, but just not as creamy as other chicken & dumpling recipes. Think adding a can of cream of chicken soup would've helped, but didn't have any in the pantry. Will try this again with the soup.
