Everyone in my family came back for seconds on this one, and they aren't "cake" people. It was so delicious and moist! I will make it a new holiday tradition.

Great cake!! super moist, easy! following another persons suggestion i used Andes mints to substitute the chopped chocolate AND the crushed candy. WONDERFUL!!! i also made the cake in a 9 x 11 and then cut it in half and frosted it like 2 rounds (only square), more crushed Andes mints on top. really pretty, great reviews!

Lovely cake for a special occassion. Peppermint takes away from excessive sweetness.

I saved a few calories by substituting apple sauce for sour cream. Worked great!

Very good but it needs a large tub of cool whip!

This is a great cake to serve for the holidays. The chocolate cake is rich and moist and has a great mix of flavor with the peppermint. The cake not only tastes delicious, but looks great too for a perfect holiday centerpiece and dessert.
