This dessert is awesome! It is light and smooth - everyone had two pieces! A great way to use pears - would probably work well with apples, too. It looks impressive but it very easy.

Really great recipe for pears. Each year I have so many pears from our tree and to have a different recipe to use instead of the usual pear cobbler, pie or bread is great. Made 3 tortes last month, one to keep, 2 to share, everyone loved it and asked for more. I made 3 more last night, 2 to give to family. I recommend this as an easy tasty dessert for everyone.

This is such an amazing recipe! I used canned pears in heavy syrup to save time and sprinkled cinnamon on top.Prep time was probably only around 10 min! This is my new favorite dessert!
