Really bad, ending up having to throw it out because my whole family thought it was disgusting.

This was very easy to make and it tastes great! I used a carrot peeler to peel the squash. I also used cinnamon and a a little nutmeg since I didn't have allspice. I also left out the onion, since I don't care for onion. I used an immersion blender to blend it up. It is a great way to eat butternut squash.

Apples? What apples? This recipe doesn't call for apples!!! This is a delicious, savory soup, not too sweet. I top each serving with a dollop of sour cream (or plain yogurt) and some home made Pico de gallo. Which is essentially chopped up tomatoes, onion, and jalapeno ora miler pepper if you prefer. Oh, does that make this a delicious soup meal. My guests rave over it. The Pico de gallo really sets it off. Try it.

Used cinnamon as a substitute for allspice, and made the variation with Rome apples. It turned out very well!
