I have made this recipe several times over the summer. However, I make it differently so it is even easier and even less complicated. I ignore where the recipe says 1 1/2 pints ice cream. I think of it as just a pint. Also, I make the 16 required cookies to be only 12. After I am finished processing the 12 cookies into crumbs in the blender, I add the pint of ice cream and the 1 1/2 cups milk to blend. This way I don't have to mess with making the milkshake unnecessarily fancy with dallops of ice cream, cool whip or a cookie on top. It's just my family I make it for. Many times I have halved my style of the recipe so it was absolutely perfect for just me for breakfast.
