This recipe is user and consumer friendly because it's really easy to make, and anyone can eat it! Mine turned out exactly like the picture, which is not common for regular recipes. Has anyone tried adding Sprite to it to make it taste like Key Lime pie?

I have made this quite a few times.I have used different flavors and it always turns out great.I have read a few comments saying it didnt set.The trick is to make sure the jello is thickened before adding the cool whip.If its not thick enough with just the ice i chill for a little bit until its like unbeaten egg whites or a tad thicker. Its different each time. One time just the ice cubes work, other times i chill 5-10 minutes.I recommend this greatly.I had gastric bypass surgery and while we are supposed to shy from treats once in a while you need one and this one hits the spot to me.Flavor and color wise use red ones.I tried it with peach once and it was light in color and peach flavor.Reds always work great.I made my nieces and nephews laugh once using berry blue regular jello.

It was really delicious, but if left out of the refrigerator for too long it starts to get pretty soft. Putting it in the freezer briefly should help.
