I make this all the time. I finish it off by topping it with strawberries. I actually use the large size jello, 2 cups of boiling water and no cold b/c my boys like the extra strawberry flavor. B/c I have to watch my sugar I often use the reduced sugar cake mix and sugar free jello. NO one notices the difference. My 21 year old requested this as his birthday cake this year. Always a big hit!

Fresh tasting and light. I don't care for frosting (too sweet) so this is perfect for me. Great for potlucks all ages seem to enjoy.

I slice fresh strawberries and layer them on top of the cake after you pour the gelatin over it. Then I frost with Cool Whip. I reserve back 8 slices of the strawberries to put on Cool Whip as a garnish.

Very good! Everyone who tried it loved it. It's not extremely sweet but has great flavor. The only change I made was that I used two packages of Jello and used about half as much cold water in order to get a more intense fruity flavor. It was good and it turned out great that way.

We are on a tight budget so I needed an economical dessert for a family bar-b-que. This was awesome. I used a white cake, raspberry jello and another little icing recipe I got from kraft where I fold vanilla pudding mix, one cup of milk and cool whip. The icing is really good and no one knows it is cool whip. I used red food coloring to make it pink and everyone thought it was from scratch. $1 cake mix, $1 jello + coolwhip. It is really inexpensive. I'm a home baker and a lot of desserts can get really pricey. Will definately make again!

great recipe, very simple. After I frosted with whipped topping, I created a "flag" on top with blueberries and halved strawberries. It was very festive and everyone loved it!
