I used Delmonte Gold Fresh Pineapples to make this. I put mine in pint jars. My first jar I opened at 12 and by 5pm that day it was GONE. I had an empty jar. I rate that as it was very delicious!

This jam was pretty good, the color....bright golden yellow. I used the supreme golden fresh pineapples that are extra sweet naturally, and with summer they are in season and less costly. I also had a setting problem with 2 seperate batches I made. It sets up a little more when refrigerated, and we mainly use it on icecream and chicken...so set up isn't a big concern. I'll still keep making it.

i made this recipe 2 times. it was great. the fresh smell of pineapple when you crack open a jar of jam was outstanding..i got 8 jars of jam both times..the only problem i had was the jam setting..but its so good that it didn't matter that i had to use the remake process...excellent....

Fresh pineapple is somewhat expensive in the South (Alabama) but fresh pineapple is worth buying over canned pineapple. I was extraordinarily disappointed to taste the jam only to have the pineapple flavor drowned out by sugar! I tried the jam on toast and ice cream, both were entirely TOO sugary.
