Recipe was good, but probably better with pumpernickel as opposed to the french bread. Also possibly toast. Kind of reminds of that packaged stuff "blank" on a shingle. It was good, but will probably make if for Christmas and serve with pumpernickel bread.

I was drooling just smelling the dip on the stove! :-)) My card club will think they died and went to heaven.

This was a wonderful dip and so easy to make! I used my small crock pot which kept it warm a long time.

My family has a variation of this dip at every holiday gathering. We omit the mushrooms in lieu of green peppers, add 1 cup sour cream, onion flakes and garlic powder (just 1/2- 1 tsp. of each according to preference) and reduce the milk in the recipe to 4 Tbsp and skip the parsley. I heat mine in the microwave in my mini crockpot insert and then keep it hot that way. I serve mine with Wheat Thins (any variety).

This recipe is a party staple, but no matter how many parties I go to and how many times it is served, I always enjoy it. This is a great appetizer.

Everyone always loves this appetizer! I never use the parmasen cheese and it is still wonderful!
