This is great if you run out of buns or just dont want all that bread. I add a pinch of nutmeg and a Tab. butter to the beer. They bring out the flavor of boughten brats.

What an awesome way to eat a brat the onions with the A-1 sauce who would have ever thought. A little added mustard before wrapping. Around our house Brats belong in a wrap and not a fall apart bun. Took this receipe along camping and what a hit. Thanks for such a great receipe!!!!!!

This recipe was fun to try because I've always want to cook "Brats" in beer...and it definitely cut down on the grilling time. After tasting it, however, I don't think I would do it again. I loved the onions and A1 combo, but will stick to a traditional "Brat" on a bun.

I plan on making this recipe next month when I pick up some different ingredients that I plan on exchanging in the recipe. I plan on changing the onions to McCormick Garlic Salt w/Parsley Flakes due to the fact that we do not like onions. I plan on changing the Beer to Beef Broth due to the fact that we do not drink and do not like the smell or taste of Beer. We figure that the recipe probably will taste a little different but should turn out the same. The recipe as it stands sounds wonderful anyway. I know with the changes that I am making it will become our new family recipe. I will do as some of the suggestions stated about the tortillas and warm them in the oven for about 1 or 2 minutes with the cheese because I do not have a microwave or toaster oven. I will then put it all together and serve it.

I'll confess that I only ate brats once before trying this recipe, on a variety plate at a German restaurant. I didn't like it at all, and didn't finish it. However, seeing the great reviews this recipe got on the Food & Family website, I tried it. I used one person's suggestion of warming the tortillas a bit in the microwave, to make them fold better and to make the cheese melt. My family and I LOVED these, and we'll make this again!

I made modifications to suit our tastes but the concept of using a tortilla rather than a bun is great.
