I have been preparing this item for several years with great reviews! I'm too cheap to buy the tiny potatoes so I cut my chunks to one inch thick maximum. I'm usually fixing for eight,so I use two pounds each of white and red potatoes, two pounds each of carrots and onions and all of the whole cloves from a head of garlic. I cut all veggies into water. I pour off the the water and use either olive oil or in "Elk Camp" we use bacon grease for the fat. Salt and pepper are added and two packets ~ 6" X 22" are made using heavy duty foil and placed on the grill surface. My grill has an oven temp indicator. I maintain 350 degrees. Turn after 15 minutes(with gloves) and check after 25 min. The onions and garlic will have carmelized and the rest should be slightly browned. The pouch can be poured out of one end into a large bowl for adding the dressing and the parmeson

After reading other reviews of taking too long to cook and bland taste, I put the potatoes in the microwave for 5 minutes, then cut in half put in foil and finished on grill. I used olive oil, and all season salt. I didn't even use the dressing or cheese and they were delicious. Everyone raved about them.

These were very bland. If I decided to try these again I will bake them because they took a long time on the grill.

I tried this on an evening I was in a hurry and put things on the grill. The potatoes did NOT grill in 25 or even 40 min. I ended up taking them off the grill, and cutting them into french fry sticks and frying them in a skillet on the stove. I would try this again when I have more time.

I quarter-sliced the potatoes before baking and it still took about 30 min. on the grill. Everyone gobbled them up, though. I omitted the dressing and used olive oil and garlic-and-herb seasoning.
