Key School Internship Program
An internship is an excellent way for a student to get to know a company - and for a company to get to know a student. The experience offers a student an opportunity to work in an environment where a student can learn, investigate career choices, and apply education. At the same time, the company can assess the student's performance and potential as a full-time employee.
At Kraft we offer internships in all of our business functions and at many of our locations. Most interns are college juniors or first-year graduate students.
Why an Internship at Kraft?
At Kraft an internship provides students with an opportunity to provide professional support and become an integral part of a business team. Our interns have the chance to learn while making a real contribution to the company. They become a part of key management meetings, receive meaningful projects, and have access to senior management.
Getting to Know the Ropes. Each intern is assigned a supervisor who designates projects, answers questions, and provides guidance. Throughout the entire experience, goals are identified and interns receive feedback and informal mentoring. Each intern receives a mid-term evaluation to assess performance, review goals, and discuss development activities. In addition, interns prepare a final presentation for members of senior level management at the conclusion of their internship.
Learning About the Company. During the internship, our interns get a chance to explore other aspects of the work environment at Kraft Foods. For example, they may tour the Kraft Kitchens, visit a manufacturing facility, spend time at a Sales office, or participate in many other business activities.

How to Apply for an Internship
Interviews for internships are usually conducted on campuses during September through February for summer positions. The dates are advertised on campus in advance. Students should check with their placement office to see when a Kraft representative is scheduled to visit their campus. Prior to the interviews, we typically conduct presentations to introduce students to our company and its products and to discuss career opportunities at Kraft. Interns are usually selected and notified by early March.
