Compensation and Recognition Programs

Introduction

The primary goals of the compensation programs at Kraft are to attract, retain and motivate talented employees and support the development of world-class leaders.

Base Pay

When you join Kraft, your base pay is determined by your experience level, the salary grade of the position, and the demand for your skills in the marketplace. All positions are assigned a grade and a salary range. Your base pay can increase if you are promoted to a higher salary grade. Annual base pay increases are dependent on your performance and contributions to the organization.

Incentive Pay

Incentive pay is the variable portion of your pay as it can change from year to year. Incentive pay is linked to company and individual performance. As incentive pay is closely linked to the achievement of business results, there are several different incentive pay programs throughout Kraft. Incentive targets as expressed as a percentage of base pay are determined by salary grade and incentive plan participation.

Recognition Programs

Kraft recognizes that our progress as a company is determined by the continuing effort of all our employees. Therefore, we have a number of award programs to reward outstanding individual and team contributions to the company. Our recognition programs typically include monetary awards, mementos and are normally accompanied by public recognition.

Service Awards

At Kraft, outstanding people have built our reputation of exceptional performance, excellence in products, and strong consumer trust and loyalty. Our employees have exhibited extraordinary initiative, talent, and dedication to achieve our clear preeminence in the food industry.

The Kraft Service Award Program symbolizes the value we place on the accomplishments of our employees over the years and our sincere appreciation for employees' efforts and commitment. Employees receive the initial award at the conclusion of the first year of service. Thereafter, service awards are presented every five years from the hire date anniversary.
