Who We Are

The Finance area at Kraft Foods is made up of professionals who provide advice, counsel, and forecasting to Kraft's business divisions and functions. Finance helps guide the company's business activities by providing the critical data needed for every aspect of our business--from new product launches, to retail promotions, to plant expansions. Finance is a partner in every strategic business decision.

The Finance Team

The Finance organization is structured to support the Kraft organization. Within the business divisions, Finance professionals work as part of a team that manages a product or a brand. Working in functional units, such as Sales or Global Supply Chain, Finance professionals help ensure that we are making the best use of our resources and setting new standards for quality, costs, and services. In addition, our Corporate Finance area is responsible for supporting senior management and company-wide initiatives.

What It's Like to Work in Finance at Kraft

First assignments vary. You may begin your career at Kraft as a Financial Associate, Analyst or Manager depending on your degree and relative work experience. Opportunities exist in virtually all areas of Kraft finance including functional units, headquarters groups, and business divisions. As part of your responsibilities, you will likely have the opportunity to get involved in cross-functional business teams and or financial process improvement teams. Whatever part of the company you're in, you'll be challenged while gaining in depth financial skills and have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities that will enhance your career growth.

Many of our Finance people come to us with bachelor's degrees in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Others may have an MBA and/or may have worked somewhere else. We also have people trained in consulting, engineering, and other business-related disciplines.

Most importantly, we want professionals who can translate strategies into quantifiable objectives and develop and execute effective action plans.
