Customer Supply Chain Coordinator
I really enjoy my job as a Customer Supply Chain Coordinator. I like working closely with our customer's, as relationship development and building rapport with our customers is one of my key job responsibilities. First-rate service is Kraft's hallmark.
In my job I coordinate with our Supply Chain, Distribution, Transportation and Field Sales teams to make sure our products are delivered to our customers' distribution centers on time. I interact with many different areas of the company, so I have been able to get a good sense of the career opportunities that are available to me.
An area that I am considering moving into is Product Supply. I have had the opportunity to gain some experience in these areas by working on a continuous replenishment assignment with one of my customers. Through this assignment, I am the buyer for my customer and manage their Kraft inventory. In Product Supply, you not only manage the inventory for Kraft, yet ensure product replenishment and deployment within our own network.
Managers at Kraft take a sincere interest in their employees' careers. It is their responsibility to empower you to develop yourself, while providing guidance and support. Each year my manager and I establish goals for the coming year that includes not only how I will efficiently contribute to the business, but also how I will grow professionally. A lot of that growth is achieved from engagement in special projects and cross-functional experiences.
One of the many highlights that drew me to Kraft was its diverse environment, as Customer Supply Chain employees come from many different life experiences and backgrounds. I have had the opportunity to be involved in the Diversity Council, as well as participate in Junior Achievement and other activities within the community. Additionally, we have a broad product portfolio we get to work with ranging from cheese, cereal and coffee to salad dressing, kid friendly snacks and health & wellness offerings.
The Customer Supply Chain organization also sponsors educational programs, networking sessions, on-site training and development, as well as collaborative team building activities. It is great to work for a company that really cares.
