The Customer Service & Logistics Team

The Customer Supply Chain function includes both Customer Supply Chain and Customer Financial Supply Chain. These groups comprise an effective and skilled organization that connects our customers to Kraft Foods. We create value through the Plan to Cash collaboration process. Plan to Cash includes a range of activities that occur from the point of planning volume and servicing the customer's business needs, through the order and fulfillment process, to receiving cash for orders shipped. The Distribution function at Kraft currently encompasses two very distinct operations, organized primarily around varying go-to-market strategies: Warehouse Delivered and Direct Store Delivery. Kraft Distribution will achieve this through flexible, innovative, adaptive and responsive capabilities serving both internal and external customer needs.

The Product Supply group's goal is to ensure that supply meets demand and orders are filled complete and on time to customers. Utilizing forecasting tools, material and inventory assessments and replenishment plans, we can influence Kraft's quest to be the supplier of choice by increasing customer satisfaction and service, optimizing costs and managing inventory. Product Supply encompasses many different Supply Chain responsibilities including all aspects of managing finished goods: Forecasting/Sourcing, Finished Goods Inventory Management, Production Planning & Scheduling as well as Management of Materials.

The Customer Supply Chain Development and Solutions team is the center for strategic development, research and design. The group ensures that current and planned initiatives remain consistent with our supply chain strategies and participate on cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and priority resource allocation. D&S are key players in the portfolio process developing business cases and defining scope and also responsible for the strategic definition and architectural design of a faster, more responsive supply chain. Lastly, D&S is responsible for branding our supply chain through industry publications and forums.

The Transportation function at Kraft manages the transit of our products from manufacturing to customer delivery throughout our distribution networks. Transportation's goal is to deliver excellent service to our customers, be a preferred business partner with our carriers and deliver superior value to our company.
